Adam went quicker again. Adrian completed seven purposeful laps and then allowed everyone an early look at the paddock.
August brought sunshine, optimism and the traditional belief that this would be the weekend everything behaved. Two of those three survived.

Adam qualified on a 1:01.130, then finished 6th in class in race one with a 58.806 best lap. Race two was even better: 3rd in class and a new 58.710 best. That is proper progress, inconveniently supported by independent timing evidence.

Adrian opened with 1:01.007 in practice. Race one ended as a DNF after seven laps, although a 1:00.502 best showed the pace was moving in the right direction. The second race was a non-start, proving that the most reliable way to preserve tyres is still not to use them.
The weekend therefore contained speed, improvement and character building. Racing is generous like that.
