The day #76 found the podium
A third-place Rookie finish, one ex-BSB Kawasaki and a motorcycle family tree best explained with arrows.
A Kawasaki with a CV
Before the Triumph 765RS became Adrian’s familiar number 76, there was this Kawasaki ZX-10R. It was not exactly starting from humble beginnings: the bike had raced in BSB during 2023, giving it a considerably more impressive competition history than its new rider.
Adrian joined the racing adventure later in 2024 and took the Kawasaki into the Rookie class. At one of those races, everything briefly became suspiciously competent: he brought the bike home in third place.
The accidental podium
The result produced a proper trophy, a very large grin and the uncomfortable realisation that the team could no longer claim it was completely unfamiliar with the sharp end. Nobody is suggesting the trophy has been strategically positioned whenever visitors arrive, but nobody is denying it either.
Then the paddock trading began
In 2025 the ZX-10R was sold to Dean Brown, who raced it for a couple of rounds in the Superstock class. It later became part of the swap that put Adrian on the Triumph 765RS, the Gulf-coloured machine now carrying number 76.
So the Kawasaki arrived with BSB history, delivered Adrian’s Rookie podium, enjoyed a Superstock chapter with Dean and helped usher in the current Triumph era. A perfectly straightforward story by motorcycle-racing standards.
